Counseling and Psychological Services

About CAPS

We help SUU students achieve their educational, career and personal goals. We understand that students' first priority is to successfully earn a degree and we are here to assist them in addressing the stress and conflicts that may distract them from achieving their full potential. CAPS is staffed with experienced licensed mental health professionals including psychologists, social workers, and mental health counselors who work with students to reduce the interference of everyday stress and also treat more serious conditions.

CAPS regular services include individual counseling, couples, counseling, group counseling and workshops, and biofeedback.

Fall 2020 Services

Open and Available for Services!
Hours: Monday-Friday: 9am - 4 pm
*Please note: we are closed on all University holidays.

CAPS will continue to offer group, individual counseling, and crisis services.  All services offered are being done remotely, face-to-face visits are unavailable at this time.
*For both legal and ethical reasons, CAPS is only able to provide services for those in the state of Utah.

We will also be offering Zoom based groups for all SUU students. This is an opportunity to have some social connection as we wait to reconnect in person. See the schedule on our group page. Or check out our Let's Talk program for a brief 10-15 minute informal, friendly, and confidential consultation with one of our counselor's.  For additional resources check out our COVID-19 Survival Guide and our COVID-19 Reminder.
