How It Works

Learn more about how the IEP can jump-start your English language journey.

Our goal is to prepare learners for academic and professional English language use.

The Intensive English Program is formatted into online asynchronous courses with optional synchronous speaking practice. This allows for learners from across the globe to participate and grow their English language capabilities.
What speaking level are you?

The IEP has levels ranging from 1-6 (from Intermediate Low to Advanced Low) and Foundations ESL (Novice level). Each level consists of two 3-credit courses (an oral language course and a written language course).

Program Placement Information

Choose the right program for you!
  • Term Format - A faster paced, 6-week schedule for quick learners.
  • Semester Format - A more relaxed, 14-week schedule suited to the average student.
Completion:

Students who complete Level 6 of the IEP will receive a certificate of program completion; they will also satisfy SUU's English language admission requirement for Undergraduate and Graduate study.

$75 USD/credit. A 3-credit course costs $225 USD, and a full level costs $450 USD.
