Native Plant Center

The Native Plant Garden at Southern Utah University is a showcase of plants native to the three ecoregions surrounding the Cedar City area. Its mission is to educate visitors on water-wise landscaping, ethnobotanical uses of plants, and to function as a seed bank, wildlife reservoir, and as a center for experiential learning.

Southern Utah University's Native Garden was created in 2006 as part of SUU's campus and it has been designed implementing the principles of Xeriscaping. It is located in the corner of Thunderbird way and S1150W in Cedar City, Utah.
